![]() Only liberal mayors who care more about their personal agendas than employment in their cities would say they are not going to allow Chick-fil-A to open stores in “their” city. The last time I had to go to a KFC, the folks in there looked like they were waiting for medical test results. Their food is fresh and relatively healthy, especially compared to KFC (which used to be Kentucky Fried Chicken, but management had to shorten the name to KFC when most of their customers got winded saying the full name). They run a great business it is one of the only restaurant chains where the employees and the food look just like their commercials. ![]() Whether you agree or disagree with their views, you have to respect them.Ĭhick-fil-A is a private business, not a public company where some pressure might be applied to the owners to “walk-back” a controversial statement. Chick-fil-A restaurants are closed on Sunday, the second busiest fast-food sales day of the week, in deference to the beliefs of the owners. It should come as no surprise to the leftist hyenas in the media who do all they can to spark boycotts of any business whose leader says anything that does not fit their narrative of how things should be. Cathy did is admirable and true to his deeply held religious views. When confronted with a close decision, it is always better to come down on the side of freedom and choice. It is their choice, and we should all stand for freedom of association. The cool thing about my side of this debate is that those who do not want to get gay-married do not have to. I think even God would agree the federal government should have no role. Marriage is rooted in religion and based on the morality of the Bible. It is not government’s role to intrude in what is largely a religious institution and one where marriage certificates are issued at county court houses. The Episcopal Church has even allowed gay priests, concluding that you can dislike the sin but love the shoes. Homosexuality is one of the most unnecessarily divisive issues of our time. In verses 22:28-29, it says if a man rapes a virgin he must pay her dad 50 shekels, marry her and never divorce. Yet the Good Book says in Deuteronomy 25:5 that if brothers are living together and one dies without a son, his widow must not marry outside the family. A friend suggested the company should make amends by introducing a “Chick-on-Chick” sandwich.Ĥ0 cartoons on the Olympics, Romney’s overseas trip, “You didn’t build that,” and more Some say Cathy’s statement was a PR gaffe. Two major requirements for a successful business are courage and conviction. Two college girls kissing in a Chick-fil-A is just going to drive college guys into the store. Trying to exact some measure of revenge, a few colleges organized gay-ins at some of the chain’s Florida restaurants, which only showed just how little these kid “activists” know about business. You’d have better luck getting a Chick-fil-A sandwich on Sunday than getting him to say he supports gay marriage. When asked, the evangelical Christian said that he believed in the “biblical definition” of marriage. If this chicken sandwich is going to donate even a small fraction of proceeds to an organization that works to undo the strides we've make toward marriage equality, established and potential customers alike are going to reconsider patronizing that store.Quite an uproar – albeit a media-contrived one – erupted when Dan Cathy, the chief operating officer of Chick-fil-A and son of its founder, made an obvious statement during an appearance on a religious radio broadcast. The story addresses Chick-Fil-A's most popular reason for abstaining from the chain-CEO Dan Cathy's bigotry-fueled charity which funds anti-LGBTQ organizations-as an additional reason for New Yorkers to turn the other cheek. Multiple readers chalked the article up to something to the effect of "It's just a chicken sandwich." And frankly speaking, it's not just a chicken sandwich (they have tenders and nuggets, too). Also, my guess is the author hasn't had the deliciousness that is Alexandra April 15, 2018 The only thing creepy is elitist intolerance of diverse viewpoints on Faith and family. I'm not even Christian, but that's just plain idiocy. Go have a chicken sandwich, you'll feel better. Seriously?! Quit trying to get people fired up and angry.
